Elise Cranny, representing Nike Bowerman Track Club, ascended to the No. 3 all-time American performer in the 10,000 meters by winning her debut race at the distance in 30:47.42 at Sound Running The Ten in Southern California. Cranny led five athletes to the Olympic standard, including four Bowerman competitors.
