Grant Fisher, representing Nike Bowerman Track Club, set the American men's 10,000-meter record by clocking 26:33.84 at the second edition of Sound Running's The Ten at JSerra High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Fisher eclipsed the 2014 mark of 26:44.36 held by Galen Rupp to elevate to the No. 7 all-time global competitor, producing the No. 12 performance in history. It also marked only the third time ever in the event that a pair of athletes ran under 26:35 in the same race, including the first since 2005.
